When i grow up i want to be like...my mum?

Hey mum, guess what? i grew up to be just like you.
How did this happen, as the last born son, i so wanted to be like my old man.
I have your carefree attitude;
love for life, animals, strangers, God and clothing.
Don't know whether to celebrate the fact or be depressed by it.
We are so alike and we both know it and yet hate it.
I was supposed to choose the parent i wanted to be like.
Did i fail?
