It was nice to go out on dates, with Lisa, this was certainly different, no physical contact, I told her of my time growing up with my dad and dog, some of the stories I told her made her laugh so much, I laughed too, for I didn’t realize at the time things we experienced was funny.
We went to different places to eat, we tried out different types of food, usually late in the evenings, and not too near the city. But for me, my favourite was still good old fish and chips, Lisa was the more adventurous one, even eating vegan and vegetarian on some occasions.
It was good, seeing each other once a week, even if some of Maxine’s friends and mine were nearby, it felt like we had gone back to basics, talking, chatting for they were not that near, and there was looking, and admiring, her beautiful perfume, would whiff towards me, looking into her beautiful soft brown eyes, lips with its black lipstick, really suited her. I loved the casual clothes that she wore. And soon, I wanted more, I’d already discussed it with Lisa, so I decided to talk to Maxine about it.
The date was set for our wedding. The Day was beautiful, Lisa looked Stunning! It was only then, did Lisa move into our purpose-built home. It was amazing to be at last with Lisa, physically.
Maxine had assigned me with my personal chef, and Lisa had her own personal chef too. Also, whatever, specialist food that we fancied, Maxine had made ‘arrangements’ with fifty other beautiful restaurants, small, medium and large sizes, and at any time we wanted breakfast, lunch, dinner or supper, we could ring up their private mobile number, and order our meals. A time would be given of when our food would be delivered, and it was Fabolous! The delivery person, never once delivered direct to our home, for that was a secret location. It was always sent to an address nearby, and from there the Staff from either Maxine’s team or mine would then drive it to our home, for two friends from Maxine’s team had moved near and also three of my friends, they got paid good money for this job role. The food was always, always beautifully presented, the salads they were freshly prepared, the meats cooked with authentic spices and chefs. Life was good.
Then one day after a wonderful meal, Lisa was sick, we had both eaten the same meal, and I wasn’t sick, so we weren’t sure why that had happened. It turned out, Lisa was pregnant with twins! I knew from my letters that I had stored in my bank, that we would be having two sons, from the names that I was given, I never expected them to be twins.
In due course, Lisa had twins alright, a boy and a girl, but the names that I had been given in my dream was, so I thought, this was the first mistake by the so called god who had given me the information. Maxine came to visit Lisa in the private hospital, and when she saw them both, she said, “I have always wanted to have twin sons, and if I did, their names would be Paul and Silas, so I am letting you know, this will be their names,” She saw my puzzled face, and said, “Paul will be the boy and Silas will be the girl.” Her god was right with the names after all! Lisa loved the names, and thought they were, “Cool.” When I got that letter from the bank, Lisa framed it and put it up in the nursery, on the wall between both cots. Beautiful, thoughtful gifts were bought from both friends mine and Maxine’s.
There was a great rule, that Maxine was never to ever step foot into our home, this was her idea. She said, “This is your space.”
Maxine has asked me to add here, that she has written the wrong name behind the inside of our front door in one of the chapters before, it is not Solomon, it is in fact Absalom, I will now hand over to Maxine to explain what she means, over to you Maxine.
“Hi, apologies what was I thinking, it has always been Absalom, that the one-off name will be, so I just wanted to set the record straight, thank you from Maxine.”
