Reeling, keeling, to and fro
The boatswain struggled to stem the flow
The hole from the rock they collided into
Let in gallons of water in, water and roe
Hammer, hammer smash in the wedge
To stop the boat sinking, water coming over the edge.
The storm smacked the little boat tossed it about
The wind stirred up water into a spout
The boatswain struggled to keep things afloat
Into a bottle he pushed his last note.
It read “learn by my mistake, my mistake with the sea
I took it for granted and now its got me.”

Interesting point made, and
Interesting point made, and rollicking rhythm of the storm. Wasn't sure about 'roe'? Are you referring to fish roe? Rhiannon
