Blue Eyes

Blue eyes look at me O so sad

They ask where is mummy please tell me dad

She’s gone to see Jesus I say with a sigh

To sit there beside him he then asks me why

I try to explain that Jesus has called

As another teardrop suddenly falls

Why does he need her she’s left me alone

Will she tell me a story if I ask on the phone

When will she come to tuck me in bed

Where is she now with Jesus you said

I feel so tired will she kiss me goodnight

As blue eyes close to sleep with the night.
