I could say I love you a million times a day
I could say I miss you and please don’t go away
I could pledge my life to you and give you gifts of gold
I could say I need you and together we’ll grow old.
I could hold you close to me and you to wear my ring
I could say these things to you and it not mean a thing
I could give you all of this but nothing would seem right
If when we go to sleep at night I did not say, Goodnight.
