Wrong Two: Sillier
Dance with me only all night long,
And I will you adore;
Or grant me just a single dance,
And I’ll not ask for more.
The shaking of your head is strong,
Such that I do deplore,
But if I all my pride do chance,
Might that not make you thaw?
I ask you then a second time;
Not so much flattering you,
But needing more to save some face,
In hope that you’ll be true;
But you at once compound the crime,
And most unkindly too:
Your NO resounds throughout the place –
SO LOUD – I shrink from view.
