And rambling she runs
With her long hair hanging down
From the country to the town
Through the city streets she goes
My rambling rose.
And her fierce heart
Ne'er will be tamed
Try to tie her down but her wildness remains
From her bonnie head to her bonnie toes
My rambling rose
And I know the man she loves is not me
As she stares out across the sea
To where the wild West wind blows
My rambling rose
And I know that my poor heart's a fool
For it's my poor heart she rules
And I'll go where'er she goes
My rambling rose
