To my unknown love

This poem is based on Helen Dudley's poem "To One Unknown". I have adapted it to give it a Welsh twist.
I have often walked and thought of love
I have seen the moon and stars above
I have seen you walk with utter grace
But I have never seen your face
I have heard the sound of a Welsh Harp
I have seen the mountain crags so sharp
I have sat at lunch with so much choice
But I have never heard your voice
I have walked in Cardiff Castle's ground
I have seen the daffodil growing proud
I have seen young lovers as they stand
But I have never held your hand
I have walked on Cefn Sidon's silky back
I have seen the tide at neap and slack
I have seen a love that's not disguised
But I have never seen your eyes
I have sat and dreamed of growing old
I have seen so many wed with gold
I have seen my vision as we grew
But it cannot be with you

Intriguing and tantalizing,
Intriguing and tantalizing, and nicely crafted, Edward. Rhiannon
