It is hard to feel enlightened
When last night's peas are doing the rumba
In your lower gut
And you can't pronounce the name
Of your leader:
Mah-tru-dah-shu
Mih-tra-din-she
Moh-tru-don-sha
He has lowlights
Should gurus have lowlights?
The cabbage patch woman sitting to your left
Has dyed her hair to look like yours
The man to your right smells like sex
But not the Lynx Africa kind
Sophisticated
His forearms
His Irish forearms
God
You meditate on them
And forget the candle
And the ideal hand position
And the circular breath
And the bell.
