Running From the Darkness.

In the depths of light,
My heart takes off in flight.
Then creep in the orbs of grey,
The brightness fades away.

Like a powerful sea -
Its hungry arms decimate me,
I struggle and flail
But my body does not sail.

Lips move yet don't utter a sound,
Eyes wide but staring at the ground,
The tears fall, except I don't cry,
Only silently I ask myself why.

As the darkness looms
Pray for it to be over soon,
I crave oblivion but seek sun
In this, I am alone, the only one.
