Jealous of Trees

A tree is rooted, its path mapped out,
Satisfied.
Coaxed by the light, its heart colours tips of branches - reaching,
Never does it yearn to stray from its beginning.
Man, born to wander, unravelling his past,
Forced back to a place he forgot,
Where the years ring true,
Rummaging through the fallen leaves for himself.
