I used to be a stranger to the face,
the water rippling and lapping the features away,
distortions hid any discernible trace,
of a reunion some day.
Some light just brought silhoette,
full sun sick disbelief,
tears for the one I had met,
heavy darkness; relief.
Recognition, a dream
floating deep down,
forcing me to lean,
beyond the dirty muddy brown.
Twas there I saw someone new,
eyes alive, mouth not far behind,
breezes kindled the faintest clue,
sun setting, I hurried to rewind.
