I go to the water's edge
Fall victim
Stone still
The land of lungs
Where breaths erase
Walled castles
Lover's names.
I pivot
Watch footprints
Fizz and fill and go
Wiped clean, as if in dream.
I pull plugs on thoughts
Empty them
Through cupped ears of giant waves
Withstand every break they make
My sunken feet root to solid ground
Benchmark in the sand
Ready to discover, now ready to be found.
