The moon is bright tonight
it has sucked up the last dusk light
so night can unpeel day
so I can gaze upon this wonder
White eye,
how kind you seem
holding our hands out of sympathy
your orbit our ecstasy
do you look at us like I do you
telescopic
expectant, desperate to
turn rough seas to tranquility?
yesterday I felt your tightening grip
your tidal course hugged my eroding shelves, and
you allowed me to breathe out;
you allowed me to breathe in

I really liked your ideas in this poem, especially the wonder of how the moon effects us.

There's a great, grand tone

There's a great, grand tone to this. As if the moon is elemental/monumental and you address it beautifully.
