The merry May is blooming
And Summer’s in the air
I’ve made my Celtic costume
Woven flowers in my hair
Today I meet my sweetheart
Together we will stand
And we will be united
By our hearts and by our hands
Before the Beltane bonfire
Our hands will be made fast
We’ll jump the broom together
And united be at last!
Then eating cakes and drinking ale
We’ll laugh and dance and sing
Rejoicing in the happiness
Our future’s going to bring.

Hi Hourhouse,
This is my kind of poem. I always said that if I ever
got married again, this is how I would do it.
Love to have a handfasting up at stonehenge, or
Avebury.
Enjoyed reading this poem alot.
Jenny.
