Grimm Doings

The Brothers Grimm were paying a visit to their good friend Hans
Christian Andersen.
"Hans!" they said. "What a delightful corner cafe! Waiter! More
schnapps! And plenty of it!"
Mr. Schmeckenpepper, the proprietor, viewed the group with a wary eye.
They were getting drunk and disruptive. Hans had knocked over the
inkwell -- again -- and was sopping it up with the waiter's shirttail.
(An act which caused the brothers to chortle and blow bits of schnitzel
out of their nostrils.) One of the Brothers Grimm then blew his nose
with a cheese danish and farted -- causing many valued patrons to ask
for their checks.
"Waiter!" Hans shouted. "More cheese danish! My friend has got a
cold!"
The Brothers Grimm fell off their chairs and continued to choke on
their chortles.
Mr. Schmeckenpepper had had enough. "Hans!" he shouted. "You have been
warned before! I will now call the police and you can all spend the
night in the pokey!"
After spending a harrowing night in the pokey with a muscular and
peasant-skirted gentleman named Greta, Hans and the Brothers Grimm
renounced their wayward ways and went on to become beloved by children
the world over.
Authors note: After their night in the pokey, with the muscular Greta,
Hans Christian Andersen and the Brothers Grimm collaborated on a little
known and unpublishable story called Any Port in a Storm; which they
dedicated to Greta.
