Leaning on the counter
He looks at me
Already unimpressed.
When I ask him
His brow furrows
And he looks me up and down.
Really?
What? Are you jealous?
I’m starting to feel embarrassed.
Glad there isn’t a queue,
He lays them on the counter,
Quickly I put them in my bag.
Pay my money,
I’m out,
Breathe a sigh.
