Having a disability
Doesn’t mean
I’m any different
From you- I’m just me.

People ask-
‘How do you cope?’
I ask them the same in return.
They say-‘but I’m normal’
And so am I. What difference does it make,
If I’m part-blind?

I look at the world,
And I hardly see a thing,
But I see more than most, for
While their eyes are narrowed-
Mine are wide.
