You can't say that. Off course, you can assert
a lot of other things. For example. The houses
in this town look like weary firemen. The life
we used to live is nowadays hanging around
with the local youth in the city park. The devil
is brooding his ideas in the minds of the rich.
But don't suggest that there's no hope. Don't
mention that there's no future to be perceived.
True. Our world may be bleak. Grim. Wintry.
Desolate. Empty. It may look so arid that only
one bare thread is hanging from the drab sky.
Grab it, seize it, snatch it! Climb into it! As if
your were hunted by grumpy mountain lions.
Lift yourself up, hoist yourself up. Discover.
The vista with the humming farmer's wives.
The horizon with the buzzing honeybee hives.

Lovely! 'Houses like weary firemen' stands out in a good way, so does the ending of bright impulsive hope.
