Food, food, we all like food; fast food, slow food, healthy food, soul food, comfort food, food for the soul.

Food and feasts that mark the occasion, wedding feasts and funeral wakes.

Communal celebrations, canapés and cocktails.

Why not?

Food collected, food to take away,

Food on the tv and the radio, food by telephone and the click of a mouse, 

Food on a bike, a moped, a car, 

Food that’s cooked by careful artisans, food that’s slaughtered on industrial scale.

Food eaten with hands, silver spoons, and from rubbish bins,

Even food banks.

Food has become a major health risk,

Our lives are being consumed by food?
