Indescribable

To simply say that her face was like the rising sun
would not be enough – would cheapen
and make her just like the others,
not that special soul who stands out from the crowd,
nor that stunning personality who washes away all pain.

So let me begin again: she is sweeter
than the tastiest fruit known to man,
she is deeper than any ocean,
and her mind contains ideas as luminous
as any vision that has inspired great painters.

The greatest poet may attempt to describe her,
or painter capture her appearance,
but her soul can never be captured: only experienced.
