I can't tell who you are,
I can't tell what you think,
But we've come pretty far
With my heart out on the brink.

I can't say I quite trust you,
And I know the sentiment's shared.
It's just.... when you're around,
It's like I am impaired.

I wish I could move on from you;
Roll you over like a stone,
Or turn the page again
To let you leave my heart alone.
I wish you gave me half a clue
As to how you see me now,
How you do the things you do;
Deafen without a sound.

I've tried everything in the book,
Everything I could reasonably do....
But nothing can help cure me
Of the ailment
Of you.

Please understand....

I prob'ly should move on from you,
Though I'd rather not just yet,
'Cause I have no proof of how you feel,
But I have a pretty safe bet.

And of course this is one sided.
But I wanted you to know,
That since our worlds collided
It's so hard to let you go.......
