Heaven and something else- a Christmas septet

Do you remember that man who said 'hell is other people'?
No, me neither.
I do remember his words
Especially at Christmas.
I think, therefore he is alright-
There is someone to pull his cracker
So he can wear a hat.
Hell -
Not something you dwell on at Christmas.
Hell may be some people
Now wouldn't be the time to name them
Now would be the time to invite them in
Share a cracker
Eat your hat.
I'm speaking metaphorically of course,
Festive cheer and all that.
Hell is no people
A night not silent but dead
A cracker that never went off
No one to laugh with you
On this or any day, past, real, to come.

I liked the conversational
I liked the conversational tone which made the loneliness stand out by the end. Despite the short lines, I'm just wondering if it is a poem, but it makes a truthful and thought provoking statement.
