To tease you with tea with words and words only

To please you with pleas to come when your ready

To know what I say is not what it seems

To see what I know is not what it means

To hear what I think is not what I dream

To touch what I drink is not in the stream

Of thinking less thoughts or having less noughts

It hardly seems worth writing.

Hey Julian!  That's better.  It's a good poem.  I like the cheeky rhyme and the insouciance of the piece.  If I've misinterpreted I apologise.

I got a little confused with the title, but it doesn't matter. It started as a poem and ended as a letter. . . very strange.

Thank you scratch, no you haven't misinterpreted the poem. I was certainly feeling carefree when I wrote it, and a little nervous. Insouciance is a lovely word. Thanks for the welcome, too!

Like the rhyming and the rhythm of this Jules. It has a "happy" style about it.If that makes sense?

Thank you jolono, yes it began as a fumble of shortened word endings and beginings of sorts and muddled its way in a logical sense and finished is journey with a smile. Thanks.
