If Iwere blind
I'd know my stomping ground by one particular feature
On every street corner SHOUTS
A noisy Christian preacher

"LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR!
TURN THE OTHER CHEEK!"

My neighbours are hassling me for missing church again last week.

Jesus preached love - told us to love one another
So how come Christian love kills more than any other?
Protestants hate Catholics
Catholics pretend not to care
Because they believe they're going to heaven
But when they get there it will be full of Christians shouting
About who's right about what
Who's the worst sinner
Who's most in with God

The noise is a nightmare with all those megaphones
So God's spinning vinyl in the corner
Wearing his headphones

But blessed be Our Lady
Though she shakes her head and tuts
She'd tell them all where to go
If she only had the guts

She takes her son to one side
Asks him what he thinks he's done
"Your daddy sent you down to earth to help them live as one!
Look at that planet! How often have I said;
Leave things as you'd wish to find them
Before you go rising from the dead!"
