An Unholy Redemption Chapter two continued

“Silence!” The Most High’s voice roared, causing the chains holding Lucifer to vibrate. “Your punishment is to be cast out of where you now sit into the body of a mortal. I cannot think of a more fitting punishment than to become that which you hate the most. You will still have the mind you have now, but flesh and bone will be your prison. As you walk about on earth as human, you will help them in their most trying, difficult and dangerous times. To enable you to do this you will still have your spiritual gifts and powers, but instead of using them for evil you will use them for good. It’s time the balance shifted and the humans started believing in me again. I cannot think of a better person to make this happen. This will go on for as long as you want it to. If you do not decide to help, you will simply stay in human form. When I feel satisfied you have done what is needed, you will be allowed to return to angel form and what you truly are. Lucifer, it is time for you to think of a new name as you are prepared for your new existence.”

Lucifer fought very hard to keep his eyes from shutting, because he feared the thought of being entrapped in a human body and being earthbound in human form utterly repelled him to the stomach. A fear started to burn deep in his mind as his eyes were forced to close.
