Easter Monday: Race Day

It was the Easter Monday races
And the crowd was full of jubilant faces,
Colourfully clothed jockeys on their horses
Patiently waiting to ride on the courses
People scurrying to place their bets
Hoping to recover their debts.

The horses are ready at the start
With all their jockeys taking part
They're off with a thunder of hooves
With the front ones making the moves
They quickly gallop around the last bend
With the winning post at the end.
