Another day of thickened grief.
Where stab wounds heal beneath your balm.
The feel of you inside my mind.
The shroud of velvet that keeps me warm.
The coldest place becomes a joy.
The diamond ice a glittering jewel
When you're there to melt my aching heart.
And repair the ravages of the cruel.
Going out to brave the raging storm
The bitter fingers which shred my skin.
The deluge of scorn that bows my head.
Everything ends where you begin.
The smile that swells from deep inside.
Your eyes that drape my heart in gold
The rush of lava in a joyful tide
It is that which dares me to be bold.
