We strip a tomato plant of superfluous foliage
Allow bounty to ripen in full sun.
This is its only season; it and we
will not last.
Nurtured fruits offer hope, seeds of thought
archived for … a future.
Give it space.

Love this poem. We have six
Love this poem. We have six plum tomato plants, and they're all fruiting wonderfully. My partner does all the trimming back, and does a great job. Like you say, it takes time and patience to produce fruit, just like a poem or story, but when you take the trouble to nuture, it can be an inspiring moment when it works.
You've said so much in so few words.
Jenny.

rjnewlyn is completely right
rjnewlyn is completely right - this is a wonderful pick and says so much more than appears at first glance. Very well deserved cherries (and tomatoes - I'm very much in awe of your talent - never been able to grow them!)
