The Seed

She planted a seed when she was five,
Among the bright daisies of creativity
Who knew that seed would eat her alive?
Enhancing her sane captivity
Throughout the years it grew and grew,
Along with her desires
Her mind, it started traveling askew.
Caged within barbed wires
Her fear, her anguish
It all came to life
Its roots refused to languish
Within her internal strife
Crushed daises, scattered beyond
A last one, standing brave
The dark tree now extended a frond
Too weak, away it gave.
Consumed in the gloom,
The light was obscured
Fear, greed, desire: her doom
However it can still be cured
Unwilling to accept this fact,
She became the tree
Desperate to climb out of this act,
And so she did, she became free.
