Born under the brightest star

A babe in the arms to rock,
Small soft limbs to cradle.
So new to the world your eyes grow bright,
Growing, growing day and night.
What world will await for you my love?
What future has he in store?
Where oh where will you end up?
What story of yours to be told?
Savior I see through my minds eye,
A tale of greatness awaits
Your name for eons etched in stone
A legacy of rule on the highest throne.
Will this be your future here,
This vision I’ve been shown?
Or is there another harsher sight,
Of pain and deception and endless plight?
One of betrayal from a friend to foe,
Your life with coin is bought,
And alone you must carry on
As the weight of the world bears down.
Where will you go my beloved son?
Can’t your destiny be undone?
If not then stay a short while more
You my child whom I so adore.
I must release to the pain of false lore.
Born under the brightest star,
All will know of you near and far,
You born under no weight of sin
To rule as the humble King of kings
