Am I dying?
This excruciating pain doesn't feel like
One of those that passes and is soon forgotton
You know, like childbirth or getting your ears pierced

No, this is something more
This disease has spread to every cell in my body
Surely there can't be a treatment that will cure them all

Oh please give me something for the pain doctor
It hurts just to think - and I don't even want to do that
It only makes it worse

You tell me there is nothing that will ease this agony
Except.........you hand me a clock
And tell me that time will heal

And it does.
