I am 75 - if the truth be told -
and I’ve read a report
which states that I’m old.
Excuse me if I snort.
What I want to say
is on the tip of my tongue:
there will come a day
when I’m no longer young
but now is not the time;
at three score and fifteen
I am still in my prime.
It must be in the genes.
I’m approaching the stage
when I will have to admit
I’ve reached middle age
but I don’t mind it a bit.

Hi Luigi,
I like this poem, I don't think age means much, it's
the attitude of the individual that counts.
You can be a peter pan even at 75, even if it's
only in your mind.
Thanks for the read.
Jenny.

Well done on the cherry, Luigi;-) That will add even more flavour to whatever you're having, perhaps.

Made me chuckle, Luigi - and I agree completely; you're as young as you feel! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year ;)
