Good News, Bad News

I remember when
our Jill went to Spain
to escape
the Manchester rain.
She was there for the sun
and sightseeing.
Loved Barcelona,
the Gaudi architecture,
Madrid and Pamplona
but as a human being
who is loving and caring
she hated the sight
of a bullfight.
The good news?
She was head over heels
for a handsome señor;
but the bad news:
she’d fallen for a matador.
