If you could rub
a magic lamp
and make a wish,
I know
what it would be.
You’d ask
for your fears to vanish
into thin air.
You long to rid yourself
of the doubts, uncertainties
and despair
troubling your mind.
But if you respond
with kindness
to kind gestures
and accept
the hand of friendship
that is proffered
you’ll find
that you won’t need a wand
to exorcise your demons.

 Nolan, I found this quote that may be the answer to your question.
"There is no clear, linear relationship between happiness and wealth. For those living at the poverty level, getting enough money to meet the fundamental needs will certainly help. But beyond that, wealth actually gives very little long-term satisfaction. In fact, its effect on happiness decreases over time."
