It's good to talk, I'm told,
if you feel lonely and old.
It sounds a wise advice,
no need to think twice.
I pick the iPhone for a chat
but the battery's gone flat;
then I see with a frown
that the landline is down
and so, reverting to type,
I hope to talk via Skype.
I do not understand why
I cannot get Wi-Fi
and I am left in no doubt
that a conversation is out.
To talk to myself could be
the only solution for me.

Yes I know Claudine. They say it's the first sign of madness. And they are probably right but I tell myself that they have got the wrong of the stick. frown
