some people are bound to say

that I'm acting out of malice

but I haven't got any money

while the Owl and the Pussycat

have a boat and plenty of honey.

They have given me their vote

so they can't object if I borrow

their cherished five-pound note

so you can have jam tomorrow.

Yet they are continuing to bitch

that I'm not soaking the rich.

It's a partially impartial comment, Lena. I am an old owl.who hasn't got a boat but just enough honey for his needs. Being a foreign bird, I cannot vote so my destiny is always in the laps of the gods (or demons, depending on one's point of view). Many thanks for your approbation.
