10. Missing You

I sat thinking
Who was better fit?
Who made me smile
And who did I truly love?
What I didn't realize
Was that I was looking
At the wrong ones.
Your touch:
a feather,
a caress,
Sends shivers
Down my spine
Your smile:
My only light,
The reason for the jokes,
What I want to see right now
Your warmth,
Your heart beat,
Your lips I crave.
Now I'm here,
Wishing you were,
Depressed, lonely
Without you.
After us,
My heart is broken,
shattered,
Left in tiny peices,
Struggling to beat.
I ache for your hand,
For another warm, tight hug.
I yearn to once more laugh
Along with you,
My love.
I wonder,
As I wait for sleep to catch me
Are you feeling this too?
Do you feel empty now?
Do you try not to,
But think about us every day?
Do you write about us,
Randomly bursting into tears,
Like I do?
