Fair
Travel forth on fairest wings,
For fairest night and steadfast blade,
Pierce thy heart with black and light.
Hair as black as ravens wings,
Lips red as blood,
For fair white skin and grace,
Only death can be undone.
Stolen faith but steady will,
Take her hand and lead her forward
Flow as one,
As river for sorrow,
Stumble only when touched,
By the light of tomorrow
Dawn brings peace
But not salvation,
Living only to suffer once more
Hand in hand
Tears fall fast,
Into seas of times gone past
Only one, unprotected
Loves weapon is she
Who holds soft velvet
Harder than steel
Past iron fists,
Her shield, not blade,
Fine, soft velvet.
