seeing earth

When the wild called me from bridled brittle reverie
With a lace cry that seeped into my ears
I stumbled in returning
To where I came from.
I don’t think we were meant to create all this destruction
But we've stretched the world now.
And when I re-walked among those pleading trees
Seeing the unseeding strung from my own domineering
I stood back breathless.
Tenderness burst like paint under flame.
And though it was a bit the same, mostly it was changed.
I was saddened and kicked dead dust in maddened rage.
Then went about my day.
