I was up half the night with worry. Had I done the right thing? The Maggots, dark as suspicion had been following me with the intention of sneaking of with my newly donated book to the library. It was the second following the same week. i couldn't bear to tell them all of it. I'd gone out to see an old friend, and they'd been near by... once they'd acertained my destination.

"I was at the computer fixing a print out," I told Phyliss and Kitty over a quick coffee, "And approached the desk to ask for some change, when suddenly one young male Maggot rushed in, straight to the information desk and using the title of one of my books, he asked if it was
in the library under my name since his sister had written it. I was speechless."
"Eek!" said Kitty, "Well I wouldn't put anything past them..."
I nodded. "The Librarian got really cross and saw him off. He was quite offensive. She didn't want to get involved. After a bit I went and got change, and then offered the donation of books in a sealed envalope for the Head Librarian. I asked her if the other book had ever turned up, since I'd checked the website for it, and found it had never been listed..."
"Could she find it?" asked Phyliss. "She was good to see him off. Not affected by their casual charm?"

"We discussed that I'd probably left it with the wrong person, it takes ages to get there by that route... yeah the charm factor must be wearing really thin. A few years ago he'd have had her following him around and chatting him up..."
"Book-bus?" queried Kitty raising her eyebrows, "Is that what you were up too when you were at mine. That was months back."

"Shows that they target other people." I said calmly, "I didn't enjoy their company. I'll have to ask the lady I left it with. Or check on the system again later on..."

Kitty sipped her coffee, "Then what happened?"
"I came out and went off around the city. Just looking. I had a full level 3 apparition show up..."f

I shuddered. It made me laugh at the time. It wasn't as bad as the Belfast one.. years before.
