Smoke and Fire
By Marionella
- 2013 reads
Smoke
A whispered word
A sung song
A held hand
Fire
Delicious agony
Contraction
Dilation
Repetition
Smoke hides fire
Fire burns smoke
Nobody ever saw
The mist of repentence
Lips are cold against the sparks
Nails are small against the sky
Words are quiet admist the roars
of somebody else's shout
Find your way
Carve your path
through loneliness
Smile at the reticence
of life

Marionella,
Marionella,
You astound me. I cannot for the life of me comprehend a talent such as yours when you are so young.
This poem so simple in structure yet so profound in content.
Congratulations.

Marionella,
Marionella,
I meant and you deserve every word.
By the way a very dear nephew of mine lives in Wellington. One of my sisters twins. He is over here at the moment and he will be visiting me before he goes back. Can't wait to see him even though he was also over here in the summer.
