(1800)

A  long time ago

The main street was constructed

A mile of granite

(1900)

Shops on all sides

Still thriving town centre

Shoppers’ paradise

(2000)

Two hundred years on

Street party- celebration

Uncork the bubbly!

(2020)

Then- a changed world

Empty shops, empty streets

Foxes rule the night.

(2024)

What is the future?

More of the same-looking forward?

A total revamp?

(This is about my home city , but I suppose it could be about anywhere at the moment.)
