Love Thy Neighbour.

Ukraine has been in the news for years now, at one point it was headline news every day, like that was the only war on in the world. There were lots of wars going on the world at that time.

Now Israel is in the news. I try not to listen to the news, so I am not sure about the latest details, but what I have gathered is that, Israel has been attacked and countries is asking them not to retaliate.

Compared to the tiny blue planet that we are on; we are very tiny in this vast universe.

It is like we need a Referee or a Peace maker.

There seems to be SO much hate! Everything and everyone is hated. No one knows forgiveness, or say “I am sorry.” No one is sorry, not now nor in the past.

It makes no difference if a person is clever or not, there is still hate.

Some men will still hate women and some women will still hate men.

Some rich will still hate the poor and some poor will still hate the rich.

Some strong will still hate the weak and some weak will still hate the strong.

Some workers will still hate the unemployed and some unemployed will still hate the workers.

Some singles will still hate the married and some married will still hate the singles.

Some parents will still hate the childless and some childless will still hate the parents.

Some immigrants will still hate my country and some in my country will still hate the immigrants.

Some beautiful people will still hate the not so beautiful and some not so beautiful will still hate the beautiful.

Some gays will still hate straights and some straights will still hate gays.

Some blacks will still hate whites and some whites will still hate blacks.

Some large people will still hate, skinny people and some skinny people will still hate large people.

Some able-bodied people will still hate people in wheelchairs and some wheelchair users will still hate some able-bodied people.

Some older people will still hate the young and some young people will still hate the old.

Some prisoners will still hate the free and some free will still hate the prisoners.

I could go on and on, and yet, under neither, we all have a heart, a brain, a lung, a kidney, a liver, and blood.

All through history there has been wars and hate and killings. Even today, with all the latest knowledge, us here on this tiny planet in the universe, cannot live in Peace, with each other.

In the past, I have wished there would be Peace, we have read about wars in history books and seen them played on our tellies, daily.

It is depressing, and scary too. I remember many years ago when I was young, there was even a three-way war in Europe!

What is everyone fighting for? Some wars have been SO long that some can’t remember why they are in the middle of the war, so they just carry on fighting.

Who are the Winners? Death!

Love thy neighbour? No chance of that ever happening. We need a Referee, to blow the whistle and say, “STOP, ENOUGH,” Long enough for everyone to stop and take stock, so they can think, is all this fighting worth it?
