Mince Pies.

About a month ago, I really wanted a mince pie. When I went shopping, I would actually forget to buy it, I would see it advertised on telly, and I knew that when I did get to eat it, it would be with a tin of custard!

Then last week, after I had been to TKMaxx I was walking past Marks & Spencer’s, because I remembered I needed to buy bread, and it was then, after I’d bought the bread, I remembered I must buy my mince pies too, they were selling them for £2 and £3 so I bought the £2 pack. I knew they sell them cheaper in Tesco, but I was on my way home now and that was why I had brought the bread, to save time.

As I got into the house, I washed my hands and opened the pack quickly, I couldn’t wait for the custard and had it straight out of the pack.

It was delicious! It was good. Paul had cooked and I ate my lovely hearty dinner.

I was Shocked when after his dinner Paul came from the kitchen with TWO of my mince pies in his hands!!! Oh, my goodness, I didn’t say anything, for I knew there was three left, all mine.

I removed the box from the kitchen and put it in my works bag. The next morning, It, was with great pleasure that I opened a tin of custard and poured it into my favourite dish and heated it up in the microwave.

I took the two mince pies out of the box and popped them into the hot custard, sitting down I really enjoyed my breakfast.

The following day, I went to Tesco and bought three boxes of Mr Kipling, so it didn’t matter, how many my husband or kids have it would be OK. In fact, our kids don’t like mince pies, so that’s even better for me and Paul.

At work yesterday I again had two mince pies with a tin of custard, it was divine. For Lunch today I had the same, a tin of custard and two mince pies. It’s just a Wonderful time of year.

I have looked at the Tesco round fruit cake but it is £6 so I will wait till the sales, to buy one and a Christmas pudding, so not long now.
