RED.

Red is a nice colour. In one of my favourite films a man in there is called Red. They say some people see red! Some people cannot stand the sight of red blood, or red meat.

My daughter Meghan showed me something last night, and when she showed it me, I thought I had seen everything! How wrong I was.

It is the latest fashion, and it is very expensive.

Yes, you too have already guessed what they are,

Boots, but not just any old boot, but HUGE oversized red boots, to make you look Very silly in them.

I am sure it must be hard to walk in them, let alone run for your life, if you were to be chased.

Meghan showed me various celebrities and others wearing them.

Some cost well over a thousand pounds! One was cheap for £800. I said to Meghan, “I would not buy that for 80p, let alone £800.”

I remember going to school in wedges, at its highest point from the back, it was 6” it is crazy to think that for a short while, I wore them to school. It wasn’t allowed, but I had nothing else to wear, until my Mum was able to afford shoes with less heels.

Most girls and women had wedges, back then, but these huge, MASSIVE, red boots, that make people look silly, I don’t think they will catch on, or be remembered in forty to fifty years’ time.
