THE UNDERDOG.

I remember years ago; I worked with an underdog. She was hardworking, and new. There were two best friends, who got on very well with the Manager. They didn’t like her, they hated her, and spoke bad to the Manager about her. She was quiet, and got on with her work, I noticed the good work that she did. When I noticed what was happening, I spoke well of her, but the two best friends, it was only their views that mattered, it was only their voice that counted, no one else’s. Sadly, she left, they had won! They were thrilled.
I also saw it happen at another site, we described him as, “The perfect worker.” But this Mangar too, she could not see it, for the only voice she listened to was, her favourite worker. Unable to get full time work there, he left. The good news is, he is the Manager now, he is doing very well for himself. I am very pleased for him. Another worker, still socialises with him, outside of work, for we saw him for what he is, “The perfect worker.”
Recently there has been another man, he is powerful, (Like a Manager) and has said mean things to a woman (like a colleague). This is on another level, off the scales.
I have never known, anyone like him, to say the things he has said.
I used to admire him, now I don’t!
