Young kin on the corner with no fear or regret

played chicken with the traffic,

chances are he’ll not forget

the truck on the corner that swerved out of control

and pinned him hard against a telegraph pole .

Its not for what or why for some.

You can’t ignore the damage done.

For where there once was time for fun

Now there’s just the damage done .

Playing chicken you might say

Hey chances are slim ,

Never knew the danger until it happened to him .

The live wires came down and it started to rain

The kid on the corner never walked again .

The driver of the truck never had such luck .

He was killed the instant the electricity struck

The emergency crew towed away the truck

The kid was handcuffed and he had nothing to say .
