Friendship Trees

The seeds some of our friendships are planted

firmly in the ground where roots are grown ,

while other seeds are scattered and thrown

to the four winds to where they fall and are sewn .

Since the day of our birth friendship trees

have grown on  the earth in places far and near .

The fruits of friendships remain

through the seasons of life, they return year after year .

The fruits of friendships are many  

and the branches bend to provide all that they need  

good fruit is shown in action with

truth and respect in each and  every good deed .

The roots of friendship trees are deep

and they travel all around the earth to survive ,

these are the living symbols of hope and  love ,

and long may friendship trees stay alive .
