Lockdown Turn Around

We’ve been too long left alone isolated in the home .
Its time to kiss this thing goodbye ,
and claim this life we own .
Lets start to rock and roll and begin jumping up and down ,
We’re coming out of the lockdown and heading into town .
Well such are all of the days of our ordinary lives.
We’re trying hard to survive but its good to be alive .
Its time to hit the mark and tell yourself that it’s ok .
Let us leave the lockdown far behind and just walk away .
Lockdown turn around ,
Take a left then you can make it right .
The future looks ok even though its still out of sight .
Take the lockdown , turn it around ,
let everybody go .
Knock it down and spin it around ,
let’s get on with the show.

1st of all Paul, I'm a fan of your works as I find myself here perusing and cruising the poet,(s) section out of fascination, soul soothing, enlightenment and learning......
Your Poem:
Enjoyable, with a smile*... In my line of work, means allot, taken to heart and glad to see the fun* (it was a long 2 yrs)- better left alone and leave it behind....
Your ending line "let's get the show on the road"..... I use that phrase in my morning crew meetings, along with "let's rock & roll" +++. Motivating sayings and gestures... More so in the post lockdown era. We are going through a wave of what the travel industry is calling <Revenge Travel> or Revenge Holiday Makers--- I'm not making that up, look it up..... So... in 1st Responder/Rescue speak, we have a saying (internally).... We have the good (normal, happy & fun), We have the bad (we live with that, it is what it is)... And then- we have the post lock down- crazies & stupid's = they're F'n dangerous with us and the other 2 groups ; aforementioned... creating a barrage of the weird and bizarre, first aid, triage, rescues. In the sense like, you couldn't make this stuff up. The accident & reports read(s) surreal & to see it at times is liken to dark comedy show... (Don't misunderstand me I'm not making fun of anybodies misfortune, as self inflicted as the revenge travel trendies are.
May I please print your Poem and hang on the our wall of fame? (pin board) = notifications, news clips, jokes, lost and found notes, posted schedule(s) etc......
